The intensity of the line repetition in the beginning of the poem is incredible, and really sets the tone! You can really feel the emotion inside the piece, and does really resonate with me as well!

thank you ❤️‍🩹 the first half of the poem came to me suddenly as I was trying to fall asleep. I quickly wrote it down and finished it. I felt it slipping away but it was very raw so I fought to hold onto it.

Oh I definitely relate to that! On the other hand, last night I got fixated on the idea of a poem and couldn't sleep until it (and the post around it was finished). While it's going to be a paid-tier exclusive post, I can still send you the piece I wrote if you want to read it!

I would love to read it but don’t feel like you need to share. You deserve to be paid for your work 🫶

This was very deep and tugged at the heartstrings for sure! I have a complicated family dynamic (I always said dysfunctional lol) and want to support your decision to put yourself and your mental health first! ❤️💔

Yes! This is very true. Take with you the good memories you may have (hopefully there are some!) and disregard as much of the rest as you can! You must do what is best for you and live a life you can be proud of! You got this! It’s also okay to not be okay as well…. <3 :)

WOW! So many powerful lines here. I've had a rocky relationship with my mother (it's better now), and I resonated with every single piece of this. Absolutely phenomenal, I'm glad I bought your poetry book!

Thank you! I've had to go no contact with my mother, unfortunately (its too broken to repair) but I'm glad you were able to improve yours. A lot of my poems have to do with my mom lol.

You're helping people feel seen with your work, which is what all writers should aspire to. I'm a huge fan and always will be, though I am sorry that much of your work is inspired by such pain.

thank you :) my best work is through my pain (in my opinion) and I am in a much better place nowadays. I'm so grateful for your support of my work! All I want is to help people to know they are not alone.

wow, V. i am simply stunned. the pain you so beautifully and artfully weave into something others can use to heal. i am saddened to know you have this kind of a relationship with your mother. i hope doing work like this is healing for you, as it is surely healing for others, myself included. thank you, as always, for being as remarkable as you are, and for sharing it with us!
